McTavish Surfboards Twin Fish The small-wave Fanger that flies and swoops, and feels like surfing on ball-bearings. Part retro, part ultra modern, the shortboard for surfers who don't want to "swim" their board around the break, half submerged. McTavish Surfboards had a wildly successful "Sky" Design in the late 70's, a beautiful "Twin-fin-plus-Trailer-fin-Option" going that was the fore-runner of the Thruster. Today, we've modified it a little with a wider tail, to give it the get-up-and-go of a small Twin Fish design, but with the versatility of a Thruster. TECHNICALS: Simple foil and rocker for fast high planning. Vee in tail to wash-out corners. Deep swallow-tail for off-the-top release and sustained template power. Fully foiled rails for long sweet arcs from a short board. Twin-fin set-up with a third centre-fin option. Note: Suggested weight of rider can be -/+ 10 lbs on weight.
