Northwest Surf Design Surfboards

Scott Rowley, owner and shaper of NWSD, was born in New Zealand and began traveling at 18, exploring Australia, Fiji, Tavarua, Samoa, and New Zealand. While spending time with a shaper, he learned the craft of board-building. In 1987, he fell in love with the Pacific Northwest during a visit, and in 1990, he immigrated to the U.S. Two years later, NW Surf Design was born.

Over the past 35 years, Scott has crafted a wide variety of boards—from shortboards, guns, and retro fish to longboards, pugs, pods, and more. His boards have become iconic in the Pacific Northwest.

With his expert skill, NWSD offers traditional poly/poly construction, limited poly/epoxy glassing, EPS/epoxy hand layups, plus custom resin tints, acid swirls, and wood core fins. For more information, visit the NW Surf Design website. here
